About Me

- Hometown: Flagstaff, Arizona
- Favorite Food Group: Sushi
- Favorite Color: Cranberry Red, or Yellow is a close second
- Current Favorite Science Fiction Book: A toss up between “Ender’s Game” by Orson Scott Card or “Anathem” by Neal Stephenson (the latter because it’s a fairly cryptic book… part of the fun was reading it!)
There is really not much about me. I was born in Flagstaff, Arizona and grew up mainly in and around the Flagstaff area until college. Then I moved to Tucson in 1996 for my freshman year at the University of Arizona, majoring in Computer Engineering. I attended the U of A for about 2 years, then left. During this point in my life, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do in my career, but realized it wasn’t entirely going to be in computer engineering. I decided to take some community college classes and meditate on what I would love to do. I worked in several different job positions, including a web developer for the University of Arizona Department of Hydrology, a technical support/help desk representative for a now defunct Internet service provider, a restaurant manager for Jason’s Deli, an independent contractor in sales for a local satellite service provider, the largest in Southern Arizona and a customer representative for two different companies, Verizon Wireless and FedEx.
I currently work as a merchandiser for a fairly large media company.
And for those of you that are interested (other geeks out there), here is a little bonus. I have experience in UNIX/Linux/SunOS administration, programming mainly in C/C++ and some assembly language and shell scripting, and attempting to learn some other languages like perl, ruby, Javascript, Object C (Cocoa API) and PHP (sort of as a hobby, as time permits).
I am currently in college in pursuit of a Business Administration degree, with a minor in Computer Engineering. What can I say, I have an intense fascination for school.
We are behind you all the way!
I am behind you…
No seriously… look behind you!
I personally like the look on the face of the guy right under my finger… he has the “You pointing at me?” look.
